Surgical procedure – the implantation of multifocal intraocular lenses

The procedure for the implantation of multifocal intraocular lenses is quick and painless.

It is performed as an outpatient procedure using only anaesthetic eye drops and pupil dilation drops just before surgery.

During the procedure, the natural lens that has lost its function of accommodation is removed using the aspiration method.

The lack of the natural lens is compensated with a multifocal intraocular lens implanted through an opening of 2 mm, without any stitching. The procedure lasts only 10 minutes.

The procedure is completely painless, and the implanted lens is permanent. After having this procedure, THE PATIENT CANNOT DEVELOP A CATARACT.
